Chicken Shawarma Wrap

Shawarma and gyros are cousins: both are stacked, marinated meat cooked on a turning spit. The difference is the spicing and the dressing — shawarma leans on warm Levantine spice, garlic sauce and pickles rather than tzatziki and feta.

Ours is spiced chicken with lettuce, pickles, red onion and cucumber, finished with garlic sauce and chilli sauce. It's the wrap most people order late.
